WILLIAM1 CLAYSON born abt. 1740, Elham, Kent.  Died 1792 Elham, Kent.  Married ANN PAGE born 1740.  Died 16 Sep 1790.  NB  In her marriage

record Ann is said to be a minor married with consent. She was therefore born after 21 April 1739. One of the witnesses to the marriage was William

Page who may have been her father. The banns were read on 30 March, 6 April and 13 April 1760. Their daughter, Ann, was christened on 19 October

1760 so was probably the reason for the wedding. There is an Ann Clayson who was buried in Elham in 1790 age 50. This ties in with a birth date around

1740.  From the marriage licence of his son John, we know that William lived in Elham, Kent.

vi.    JEMIMA2 CLAYSON b: 1778 in Elham, Kent c: 11 OCT 1778 in Elham, Kent.
